Cash Rebates
All Valley Solar is an ‘Eligible’ Solar Thermal Contractor with the California Solar Initiative program, and will complete and submit CSI rebate application paperwork for you to maximize your cash return.
Huge Cash Rebates are now available for Solar Water-Heating Systems. Call All Valley Solar for more information on how to obtain a cash rebate for your solar system. To our knowledge, All Valley Solar has obtained more CSI rebates than any other solar thermal installer in Los Angeles – we are the experts at maximizing your cash return.
Cash rebates vary depending on the type of solar water heating system, location, shading and other design factors.
Multifamily and Commercial properties that use a lot of hot water (including apartment buildings, Laundromats, dormitories, food processors) qualify for cash rebates of up to $500,000; often the rebate is so substantial that it pays for 50% - 60% of the entire solar system. Save money on your gas or electricity bills by harnessing the heat of the sun! The CSI-Thermal Program offers cash rebates of up to $2,719 for solar water heating systems on single-family homes. Rebates are also available for Commercial solar pool heating systems.
Call All Valley Solar to find out if you qualify – we are the experts in obtaining you the highest CSI cash rebate possible:
-
CSI-Thermal rebates are available to homeowners, landlords and business owners who install new solar water heating systems in the service territories of PG&E, SCE, SoCalGas and SDG&E.
-
Solar water heating systems must use eligible equipment that has a Solar Rating & Certification Corporation (SRCC) or International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) OG-100 rating for multi-family/commercial systems, and OG-300 rating for single-family systems.
-
Solar water heating systems eligible for rebates must displace the use of either natural gas, electricity, or propane as the fuel for water heating.
Funding for the CSI-Thermal program comes from ratepayers of PG&E, SCE, SoCalGas, and SDG&E; so if you don’t take advantage of it, you are paying for your neighbors to get it!

Federal Tax Credit
For more information, call All Valley Solar and we will provide you and your CPA with a detailed explanation of the Federal commercial tax credit and depreciation schedule.
The Solar Investment Tax Credit is one of the most important federal policy mechanisms to support the deployment of solar energy in the United States. Tax policies related to renewable energy play a vital role in creating new high-wage American jobs, spurring economic growth, ensuring U.S. global competitiveness, lowering energy bills for consumers & businesses, and reducing pollution.
-
The Tax Credit is a 30 percent tax credit for solar systems on commercial (under Section 48), and residential (under Section 25D) properties through Dec. 31st, 2016. The existence of the Tax Credit through 2016 provides market certainty for companies to develop long-term investments that drive competition and technological innovation, which in turn, lowers costs for consumers.
-
The residential and commercial solar Tax Credit has helped annual solar installation grow by over 1,600% since it was implemented in 2006 - a compound annual growth rate of 76 percent.
Those who might not benefit from tax credits and/or depreciation can also profit from solar thermal systems. They may want to consider a system which can be leased, installed and owned by a third party who utilizes the incentives, with you, the building owner, still benefitting from a less expensive source of hot water than you were previously paying.
As is often the case, there is an economy of scale, with larger systems experiencing the fastest profitability. For example, we are currently installing a 287 unit apartment system that will have complete ROI in YEAR ONE, whereas a smaller 10 unit building may take 4 to 5 years. And, if you happen to have one of those older 20th Century solar hot water systems at or near its end of life, the program allows for major refurbishment at the same rebate amount, resulting in a one year full payback!
